Boomplay has announced a partnership with Telkom Kenya that will enable their subscribers to enjoy affordable music streaming and downloads on the Boomplay mobile app in Kenya. The partnership will make music more accessible to Kenyans via affordable subscription packages that access over 75 million local and international songs on Boomplay from only Kes. 299 a month.
Boomplay’s music streaming package(s) will also give Telkom Kenya subscribers access to ad-free music and unrestricted downloads from artists such as Otile Brown, Nadia Mukami, Khaligraph Jones, and Nikita Kering, amongst other homegrown and international artists whose music is available on Boomplay.
This partnership is Boomplay’s first-ever with a telco in Kenya where Telkom Kenya has built a solid reputation for affordable mobile data bundles that are loved by the youth segment at scale. As of this writing according to the latest Communications Authority report for Kenya, Telkom Kenya has 4 million mobile subscribers on their network whereas Boomplay has The music streaming packages will be charged from subscribers’ airtime.
